They wanted to preserve the memories of their vacation spent down by the beach. We decided to do the photoshoot at the Huntington Beach State Park located in Murrells Inlet. If you have never been to the state you should go, I promise you won't be disappointed. The state park is truly a wonderful place to bring your family and explore. We started off by doing some photos down by the beach and then headed to the abandoned Atalaya Castle. The castle is a stunning place to take family photos. I think everyone enjoyed the beautiful park and sunny weather.

Ring in 2018 with new photos!

Who is enjoying the first few days of 2018? I know I have a lot to look forward to this year, especially in my new home state of South Carolina. Any suggestions on places I should visit in 2018 ? I love to explore and learn more about this new state I am living in! What are y’all doing for your new year’s resolutions?

Part of my new year’s resolution for 2018 is to meet new clients and expand my growing network ! Moving to a new state was both terrifying and exciting. I was beyond ecstatic  to start a new chapter in my life but I was worried leaving all my friends, connections and clients that I had established in Boston. Luckily, I have already meet so many nice people since moving here a few months ago and I hope to meet many more in 2018.

If you are looking to have photos done in 2018, then I am your gal! I take photos of almost every occasion. I specialize in Wedding photography but I also do portraits, headshots, engagements, graduation portraits, babies, children, couples, trash the dress, boudoir and even photos of your furry friends! If you want to book your photo session you can contact me on my page here or e-mail me at: I would love to hear about your new year’s resolutions!

Make sure to keep an eye out on my page later this week, I will be announcing my Valentine’s day mini session!

Are you ready for Snow in South Carolina?

Is everyone Ready for some snow in South Carolina? How many of you haven't seen snow before? I was just talking to a neighbor and they said they haven't seen weather like this in over five years! It figures, I moved here for the warm weather and the snow follows me! As many of you may know I was born in Massachusetts and spent my whole life there until I moved to Myrtle Beach a few months ago. I was enjoying the warm weather until last week when this freeze started. According to weather channel Charleston already has snow and Myrtle Beach will be next! In light of this developing weather I figured I would share some of my snow memories from New England!

This is one of my favorite winter images that I have taken. I was in college at the time studying at Salem State University in Salem, MA. I went into Boston to visit my sister and to see the Nutcracker with her and my Mom.  By the time the show was out there was a few inches of snow on the ground and we had plans to go to Mike's Pastry in the North End and we decided to walk. I quickly took this image by the Oyster House and loved how it came out! This image was chosen to be displayed in the local Salem art exhibit that year.

This image was taken in 2015 during one of the largest snowfalls in the history of the North Shore of MA. I was in my last year of university and this was the parking lot on campus! Most of the cars were completely covered by the snowfall. I remember the snow being up past my hips! My roommate and I used our snowshoes to get around the next few days. I was living in Salem and it was the biggest snowstorm for them since the 70's! That year Boston had a record snowfall with over 108 inches total, it surpassed all previous records from as early as 1872!

This is a photo from the same crazy snow year of 2015! This house was one of my favorites in Salem! I just love the color of this house! It is the perfect New England style house

This photo is one of my favorites because it was pure luck!I had just woken up and found a bunch of deer in the backyard! I wasn't quite yet awake but somehow managed to run around and grab my camera before the deer left! It may not be the most clear image but it is still amazing to me that I was able to see and capture this moment.

This photo was taken last year in Nantucket, MA! I always love visiting Nantucket and winter is no different. Nantucket's beauty never disappoints. I took this photo just as I was heading to the ferry to leave the island. The island had received some ice and snow that morning and the harbor looked stunning! If you ever get the chance to visit Nantucket you should! There is so much beauty and wonderful things to do on the Island.

I hope everyone enjoys the snow if we get it all the way in South Carolina. I am thinking of all my friends in Boston and hope you are all prepared and safe for the 15 inches of snow you may get on Thursday! No matter where you are, I hope everyone stays warm and dry.

Happy Thanksgiving! I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a lovely day spent with your loved ones, eating yummy food. What is everyone's favorite Thanksgiving food? Mine is Apple Pie! When I get the chance, I love to bake! To me baking is so relaxing and it is fun to make food for the people you love. I wanted to share my favorite apple pie recipe with you all.

Apple Pie:

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour
Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes

  • 1 box prepared pie crust or homemade
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Dash salt
  • 8 cups of your apples of choice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar (reserved)
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla

  1. Preheat the oven to 425-degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the apple pieces with the flour, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Let them sit while preparing the crust.
  3. Line the bottom of a pie plate with one piece of the crust. Spoon the apple mixture into the pie plate. Cut the butter into small pieces and place on top of the pie.
  4. You can decorate the top of your pie ow you would like to. I did a Turkey today for Thanksgiving!
  5. Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the top of the pie with the egg wash.
  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes. Gently, poke a knife through the top to see i the apples are soft/cooked.
  7. Remove to a cooling rack and let set for 10-15 minutes before cutting.
  8. Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

I hope you all enjoy this recipe! I am thankful for the chance to do what I love everyday and to be a small part of so many happy memories. Thank you all for the chance to be your photographer.

Veteran's Day Veteran’s Day is a very important holiday to me because I grew up in a military family with both my father and grandfather serving. We can trace our military history all the way back to the Civil War to a confederate soldier named Albert Jenkins. With all this family history it is easy to see why at such a young age I loved veterans, our military and war history. As I grew up it became important to me to help veterans and to get to know as many as I could. At college I became involved in our student veterans group and started a photography project that I have been working on for some time. I wanted to show nonmilitary viewers what veterans look like as well as their gear, medals, scars, and items. Through this process I became very close with the veteran community and started a school newspaper column that highlighted veterans and veteran related issues.  By doing this I learned about the good, the bad and what makes each veteran special . We shared laughs, tears, and many good stories. Each veteran that I have met over the years has landed a special place in my heart.

The First veteran I really came to know, understand and love is my father. He is a man that I truly look up to and not just because of his service but because he is an amazing father and husband. He is always there for us, always willing to listen and is a lot of fun. He knows everything about  vintage cars and the Civil War, which inspired my love of both those things. I always looked up to him as a child and wanted to be like him. I think that is why I love vintage stuff, good classic rock, history, art and always thought the military was cool.

My father was a dare devil when he was a youngster. He was raised by a World War Two veteran in a cute little town in Western MA. When he was just 17 years old he left high school and decided to enlist to the Army during the height of the Vietnam War.  He of course didn't just want to be in the Army, he wanted more excitement than that so he took the test and passed to be in the Special Forces as a Green Beret Paratrooper. These crazy young men learned how to jump out of a plane at over 1,000 feet and into danger. You can count me out! I would never be able to do what he did. He served in Vietnam from 1965-1968 and went all over to the secret parts of the war. He said one of the worse parts about being over there was the snakes which he hated.

My father lost a few friends overseas and has suffered from Agent Orange from his service but he said he wouldn't change a thing. He said it is an honor to serve one's country.

The photo above is from 2013 and 2015. The first time I took this photo I wanted to show the changes that he had gone through since he was 17 years old and then in the new photo I wanted to show the change of a few years and show him in his dress uniform.

Thank you Daddy for your service during Vietnam. Welcome Home! I love you so much, you mean the world to me.

The two people in the photo above are my Grandparents. These are the people who raised my father. I was very young when my grandfather died and never had the chance to learn about his war stories. I have his military records and items and from all that I gather that he was a war hero. He served in Germany during World War Two and received a Bronze Star for "capturing" Nazi enemies. I wish I was able to learn his story. I hope he is peaceful now in his resting place.

The photo above is my Grandfather's Bronze Star next to his records.

This is a photo that I took of one of the student veterans that I met at Salem State University. He had amazing tattoos and was saddened that many soldiers now have to get them removed.

Happy Veteran's Day to all the K-9 military dogs who have served our country. Many people forget the animals who help make our soldiers safe and happy. Our military still use Dogs and horses and have for many years. Our furry friends deserve our thanks too.

Thank you to all our active and retired military members. I have the most respect for all that serve our country. Your job is not easy and I look up to you. I hope that anyone that suffered from their service are healed and taken care of.  I cannot say how thankful I am to all our service members, you are all so great . I will keep each and everyone of you in my heart.

Happy Veteran's Day and Welcome Home (for the Vietnam era vets)!

Nicole and Dennis' Wedding Nicole contacted me to do her one year anniversary party because she wanted to take family photos of those who were not able to be at their private ceremony the year before. Nicole and Dennis we very excited for their families to meet and share their anniversary with them. They had a wonderful party that was filled with laughing and many smiles. I enjoyed every minute spent with this lovely couple during their special day.

Nicole and Dennis were so in love and excited to be sharing their first year of marriage with their loved ones.

Their party was celebrated at the Granite Grill in Braintree, MA.

Their beautiful cake was made by Whole Foods.

Nicole and Dennis invited many of their close friends to their party and everyone had a blast and took man selfies together.

Lisa and Vincent's Wedding I photographed Lisa and Vincent's  beautiful wedding in July! Their wedding day was extra special because their children were able to be in their ceremony. Lisa and Vincent were such a lovely couple as was their children and family members. I had a wonderful time photographing their special day.I wish them and their family the best!

There was some rain during the day but we managed to sneak some photos by the Wakefield Lake in between drops.

A special moment with her father before he walked her down aisle.

The sweetest flower girl and ring bearer were excited to be in their parent's wedding.

While it was raining we took some photos inside and around the church.

A sweet moment between Lisa and her daughter.

Judy and Peter's Wedding I had the honor of doing Judy and Peter's Wedding in June. I had known Judy from working together and was excited to meet her family and Fiancé. Once I arrived to take the getting ready photos I was immediately given a warm welcome from her family and friends. While the ladies were finishing their last touches I went over to  a garden to meet the groom and his groomsmen. While I took their photos they made me laugh with all their jokes and fun ideas. When I was done with the bridal party I shooed them away for the private "first look" between Judy and Peter. I love doing the "first look" before the ceremony because it gives the couple a few minutes before the ceremony to share a few intimate moments. This ceremony was especially touching because Judy's father was not only giving her away but was also doing the ceremony at the church Judy and Peter both met at. I am a Daddy's girl and always adore the father and daughter moments right before he walks her down the aisle. Judy and Peter's ceremony was full of many touching moments and was followed by a muffin reception. The reception took place at the Squantum Yacht Club in Quincy, MA. If you have never been I suggest you do because it is a stunning location. Judy and Peter's Wedding was very lovely and both their families were very welcoming.

The location of their reception was breathtaking and right by the water. Peter's vest looked awesome next to the beach.

Family is a very important part of everyone's lives especially on a wedding day, when two families become one.

I loved how great their wedding colors of Navy and Tan looked so good together. The bridal party were a fun group that were wiling to do many different photos and had some great suggestions.

Both the bride and groom looked ravishing on their wedding day and you could tell how happy they were.

Just look at how yummy these muffins were! I loved how they had many sentimental photos around the venue.

The church was very calming on the inside and the garden we used was as equally breathtaking.

I am in love with cupcakes! I was very excited to see that Judy and Peter had both cupcakes and a cake to cut into. The fun part about the deep blue frosting is it dyed many tongues and many silly memories were made from it.

The details in wedding rings always fascinate me because they represent the individuality of the person wearing them while also signifying the union of the couple.

I hope everyone has a wonderful night!

Large Family Reunion I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing a family reunion a few weeks ago. This family of 14 were such a blast to photograph! One of the family members lived close to the place we meet at while other family members took a long journey to get there, from down south and India!

The family wanted to meet at the Steven-Coolidge Place in North Andover MA to take their photos. For those of you who may not be local or have not been to this place, you should make a visit because it is breathtaking! The grounds are very large with beautiful gardens, greenhouse , fountains and fields! This is the perfect spot for a picnic or scenic photos.

I had a wonderful time with this family and I hope their photos will remind them of the wonderful reunion they had!

This is one of my favorite images because it captures the playfulness of the cousins even though they haven't seen each other in a long time. What is even better is that one of the cousins came up with this pose before the photos were even taken! I always like to include the creativeness that clients bring.

The Grandparents to all the cousins were one of the sweetest couples that I have ever met. They were very friendly and easy going and loved their family very much.

I hope everyone has a great night!

Graduation and Prom season Hello Everyone,

Graduation and Prom season are upon us all!

It seemed like yesterday when I was getting ready for my senior prom, in my poofy pink ball gown. I remember how excited everyone was and how quickly the night went. I love to look back at the photos we took and recall all that we did in high school.

WW2 Love StoryWW2 Love StoryWW2 Themed photoshoot Here is an awesome vintage photoshoot (not sharing my prom photos :)

The other exciting part of being a senior in high school was graduating and going off to college! I couldn't wait to graduate and put on my cap and gown! I was nervous about what college would be like but I had nothing to worry about. Now, I will be graduating from Salem State University with my photography business in full bloom! I have never been more excited to greet what my future will hold for me and my business.

This is a photo that I took of Amy in 2014 when she was graduating from Salem State University with a degree in Communications. She is one of the nicest people that I know and she is practically the face of Salem State.

If you need portraits of you and your family for your college or high school graduation or Prom, please contact me and book an appointment.

Have a nice day and enjoy this beautiful weather!

Welcome!! Hello and welcome to my blog!

I am new to the photo blogging but I will try and make an effort to post about once a week. Most of my posts will be about: Weddings I shoot, Couples photography, Photography tips and occasional recipes.

About me:

I am graduating from Salem State University this May in Salem, MA. I originally grew up in a small town, on a lovely dirt road in Berkshire County. I started photography as a hobby when I was in eighth grade about to go to Italy! As the years flew by, I became more interested in photography and decided that I wanted to do it as a living. I started my photography business two years ago and things have come a long way since then! I have decided to focus on Wedding Photography because I simply love all the joys that weddings bring to everyone involved. I also shoot engagement and couple photos, babies, maternity, senior portraits and even your furry friends! I come from a family with a deep military background which inspired my work with veterans and documenting their stories and portraits.

When I am not working with clients I like to spend my time in a variety of ways. I absolutely love to bake, but I am a messy baker and end up spending a lot more time cleaning..oops. I am a history buff and love to read and watch all things history. I am an avid dancer and have been doing Ballroom Dancing for 10 years and Latin Dancing for four years. Someday I'd like to own my own horse and about 10 dogs, but that dream is not yet possible.

My photography mission:

I believe that every image captured is a moment that is forever preserved. I want to make all your moments as special as you and your events are. I want you to be able to look back at your images and laugh/smile because it brings back cherished memories. Each client is unique and I want to help capture that uniqueness for you to share with loved ones. Let's work together to make your once-in-a-lifetime memories last a century!
